Modifying resource location during resource creation
This was created for SolidWorks Partner Enablement using the Equipment Design Application in the SolidWorks Milling + Turning Premium Role Have you ever created a machine or an accessory, and the Jog values were incorrect, or the actual model was not in the correct location? If so, this video shows how to adjust these items while creating the resource in the Equipment Design application.
Changing the tool representation
Is it possible to change the tool representation to a more detailed level? At the beginning of the simulation, the tool assembly appears with simple detail, but at the end of the simulation, it appears with enhanced detail. I would like to know if it's possible to keep this enhanced detail throughout the entire simulation.
Does not allow the machining of imported parts.
That part was created in SolidWorks and saved in 3D Experience to be used for machining, but it won't let me use it because of that negative area shown in red. It has been tested with unlocking and locking when uploading to 3dexperience and it still appears like this. I am the author, leader and owner of the collaborative space and administrator of the platform.

How to work efficiently with "Define Picture"
I have a few questions about how to work efficiently with "Define Picture". In version 2026xFD01, it is possible to associate an image with a machining operation using the "Define Picture" command. Finding out which operations already have an associated image is only possible by clicking through them one by one, which is very time‑consuming. Is there another, simpler way? An individual associated image can also be deleted. A picture can be removed by right‑clicking the tile and selecting

Sending G-Code from NC Shop Floor Programmer to CNC Machine
I have some questions about how to send the code generated by the application to a CNC machine. I know it's via USB, but how do I link the zero point in my program to the zero point on the machine? Are there any additional steps required to link the physical and digital inventory? Does anyone have a video showing them running their code with their machine? Thanks!

Appreciation for the New Machine Surface Functionality in FD01
I want to take a moment to recognize the R&D team for the outstanding work on the new Machine Surface Functionality introduced in FD01. This is a feature that machinists and programmers have needed for a long time, and it delivers exactly where it matters. In many other systems, creating a drive surface means jumping into CAD and knowing how to untrim, extend, or even build new surfaces, tasks that are often outside the scope of a machinist or NC programmer. With this new functionality, that

Starting with version R2026xFD01, the new SIMULIA kinematics model has been unlocked. This model offers advanced capabilities for mechanism simulation (not used with a standard usage of robotics simulation). It also provides compatibility between CATIA, DELMIA and XDESIGN (web apps) models. Since version R2026_FD01, the preference setting activating per default this new kinematics. Therefore, all new mechanism will use this new kinematic data model. The old mechanism model remains usable.

That is as expected: Please note, there is a “Workpiece Mount Port” on the “table: If we now select the “Child,” the “Child Port,” and “Parent,” the input line for “Parent Port” disappears. How

How to create "active" or valid tools for programming operations

I add an alternative to the previous method, enabling to make dynamic sections and clip desired objects. This alternative uses the Clipping Tool, available in Catia Apps (thanks to @OC for raising this tool). Access to Product Structure Design App (include in all Machining roles) should be sufficient to use this tool. This method is particularly interesting because it enables to clip the part (and edit the sectioning) during the material removal simulation: Refer to the document below to

Version Incompatibility
Yesterday bought a 1-year subscription to 3DExperience Maker (I think) to try it out, as I found the Fusion interface to be pretty cumbersome. My main interest right now is learning CAM, so I designed a part on the desktop version of Solidworks, and then -- after a lot of head-scratching -- somehow managed to get Delmia installed (still not sure how that happened, the whole 3DExperience paradigm is pretty confusing to me at the moment). But when I tried to import my .sldprt file into Delmia I

Z-LEVEL TOOL PATH Problem
Hello, I created a toolpath using the Z level, but as seen in the images, instead of moving towards the sphere center, the toolpath moves in waves and fluctuates in some places. What is the reason for this? How can I do this with the contact point? This feature was available in older versions, but I can't see it now.
Profile Contouring MO: Performance, Guide Sorting, Transition Feedrate, and Tooling Tab Limitations
Profile Contouring MO does not perform well once the number of guides reaches around 50 or more. As the guide count increases, CATIA becomes noticeably slow and can begin to hang, even when users apply various tricks for creating drive geometry, guides, and check surfaces. This makes the operation difficult to use for complex or large profiles. There is also no option to sort guides by shortest distance or by an optimized sequence. Managing guide order manually becomes impractical as the number
Functions in the role of “Additive Manufacturing Engineer”
Hello everyone, I am fairly new to the field of industrial additive manufacturing. I have a few questions about the role of additive manufacturing engineer. What impact does the choice of printing process and the corresponding 3D printer have on the functionalities of the role of additive manufacturing engineer, apart from the fact that the size of the printing space is adjusted accordingly? Can slicing not be done with this role? Is the role of “Powder Bed Machine Programmer” necessary for
Managing Fabrication data package in Delmia DM
Are there best practices for managing the fabrication package (supporting interim CAD models, requirements, workplans, and NC program) within Delmia? More specifically from a release and revise perspective do you recommend the CAD, MIDs, Workplan, NC, etc all get released and evolve using revision or config? Any lessons learned or warnings as far as maintaining control of all these dependent artifacts?
Dependencies between floating licenses/roles
Hi, According to my best knowledge, NTX role includes NPM & NMD, however, when I select the license (in preferences), it automatically selects the NPM but not the NMD, So a user can select also the NMD in parallel to the NTX, thus causing overlap. usage. Is this a correct behavior? This is a problematic situation from the administrative perspective. Thanks, Sagi
