SIMULIA Community Best of April 2022

New to the SIMULIA Community? Go to our Welcome Page

Hello fellow SIMULIA Community members,

We're very excited that the in-person Regional User Meetings are starting this month! To celebrate, we are giving you a chance to win an iPad by sharing SimFun-at-the-RUM posts of your highlights from the event (favorite takeaway, top tech tip, or most memorable moment, etc.). If you haven't registered yet, check out the Regional User Meeting 2022 schedule and sign up online.

The 5th Wind & Drivetrain Conference took place on April 6–7 and was a great success! Many of the presentations will be made available here in the community so keep an eye on the agenda pages (Day 1 and Day 2) - the links will go live as content is posted.

If you're an Abaqus/CAE user wanting to apply your skills on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, @MP's quickstart guide - Abaqus/CAE User's Primer for 3DEXPERIENCE - is going to be invaluable. Nine short videos compare and contrast Abaqus/CAE and 3DEXPERIENCE for an analysis of a lap joint, covering the stages from initial options through to iterative analysis.

This month, we got to know more about the work of SIMULIA Champions Sunyoung Kim (Hyundai Motor Group) and Katerina Galitskaya (Radientum). If you are interested in joining our Champions program, you can find out more on our wiki page: How to apply to the SIMULIA Champions Program

R2022x FD01 & FD02 have brought new simulation examples and the ability to access examples directly from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Check out what's new on Overview of new simulation examples. The Simulation Examples team would like to hear your ideas for new examples and it welcomes feedback on any of its existing examples, so get in touch with them directly on the posts!

@TD continues to develop his detailed Material Modeling and Calibration curriculum, with 6 new posts this month. Check out the individual posts and the curriculum overview.

And if material calibration is your thing, @RM shared this great demo on material calibration in Abaqus/CAE: Processing cyclic data for hyperelastic/plastic/mullins

And finally, you can download May's SIMULIA calendar wallpaper and take a little bit of SIMULIA with you wherever you go!

See you in the community!
