If you're getting ready to learn about your Physics Simulation role on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, you may need some resources to get started before engaging with the prescribed on-demand learning.
Some content is more applicable to administrators or to end-users. Also, depending on whether your 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is on-cloud or on-premise, the learning resources will be labeled as follows:
- for Members/users, on-cloud [MOC]
- for Members/users, on-premise [MOP]
- for Administrators, on-cloud [AOC]
- for Administrators, on-premise [AOP]
Administrators, you might find it necessary to review member resources as well, when appropriate.
Prescribed Learning Path
The following resources are recommended for new 3DEXPERIENCE users in the physics simulation domains. They should be taken prior to taking any other courses, by each user type as listed above:
3DEXPERIENCE platform on cloud support: Onboarding
- Presentation of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on cloud[MOC][MOP] (3 min): 1 introductory video for cloud, but applicable to all users, introducing the platform basics including: 3DDashboard, 3DCompass, services menu, 3DSearch and 6WTags.
- Your first steps as an Admin [AOC] (10 min): 4 videos explaining how administrators grant members rights on-cloud, e.g.: overview, add a member, grant roles, remove user.
- Your first steps as a Member [MOC] (5 min): 3 videos explaining how users can get started on-cloud, to: register on the platform, install an app, and use role management.
Getting started with 3DEXPERIENCE for Structural Simulation:
- Fundamental concepts of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform [MOC][MOP](10 min): logging in, 3DEXPERIENCE Platform user interface, Roles and Apps.
- Understanding parts and products [MOC][MOP](20 min): creating and using 3D Parts and Physical Products, and assemblies for use with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
