Question | Answer |
Are the business roles customizable by clients? | Yes, by default, the ESCO referential is available to be deployed, but it can be edited and redeployed, or a new one can be created using the Ontology Editor. |
Can this person and business role assignment be automated with any Active Directory, ie. MS Entra? | We don't have this integration yet. But if more details are shared, then we can assess it. |
Assume we have functions/titles in AD that match, or can be matched to, the business roles from 3DX. It would be beneficial to have any changes sync'd from AD to 3DX and get the business role assignment and maybe even user group memberships updated automatically. | First step is to deploy the reference of Business Role & skills in the platform, and then it can be leveraged. There is no automatic way to sync up. |
Can one modify the organization in the app after importing it or do one has to import another again? | You need to import again. |
Workload is based on projects that people are assigned to, correct? | Workload is managed through User Profile / Workforce Request...Once users are allocated in project, then PM can start assigning them to tasks...This bar doesn't show task assignments .... |
Is there an option to set the default availability for people to values other than 100%/40h a week? Maybe some are only working part-time, so they only work 20h a week. | Today, by default, it takes 8 hours a day and 5 days a week for computing hours .... but it will be configurable in the future |
Can one change the allocation after approving a request? Maybe the project is delayed by 3 months, and I want to change when I need the resource so they can be reallocated. | There is an Obsolete state which is not considered in workforce allocation view. So in any such cases when a project is delayed, this state can be used, and a new WR can be created based on the new dates. However, in upcoming releases, we are enhancing this mechanism to allow re-opening, which will help address such behavioral aspects. |
