Functional Value

SOLIDWORKS toolbox libraries can now be fully managed through the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This streamlines the process of using a centralized standard components placeholder where only models approved by the purchase department can be retrieved. 3DXML Import/Export will now be fully supported for SOLIDWORKS models. This allows better collaboration for suppliers with no access to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. An upload feature has been introduced and large SOLIDWORKS datasets can be transferred to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform seamlessly.

User Experience Value

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform continues to evolve as the single source of truth. It is now possible to store and manage SOLIDWORKS Simulation results on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Simulation Engineers will also be able to run Design Exploration Studies on SOLIDWORKS models. This will allow the same models to be stressed again automatically after geometry parameters are updated.
