Connect your existing SOLIDWORKS Desktop with 3DEXPERIENCE platform using "Design with SOLIDWORKS"/ "SOLIDWORKS ADD-In" to access cloud benefits and other perks of platform.
📢 Installation of Design with SOLIDWORKS/SOLIDWORKS Add-in app doesn't install SOLIDWORKS Desktop.
📢 In the table below, find the app (according to your assigned role), to connect SOLIDWORKS Desktop with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

📢 Please follow the given steps to install Design with SOLIDWORKS-
1. Please check for prerequisites.
2. Open the invitation email and click on the link to 3DDashboard App
Once the Administrator grants a role, you will receive an invitation email, you need to accept the invitation through the link .
Save the link (Bookmark it) or Access your Platform from https://go.3ds.com/educloud . Access using a Web browser.Note: The Educloud is a special cloud for sponsored teams - do not use commercial cloud access through SOLIDWORKS.com or 3DS.com Logins on the homepage.
3. Click on the 3D Compass.
Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and Click My Compass (Top-left corner of browser).
4. Search and Click on Design with SOLIDWORKS app (or SOLIDWORKS Add In app).
NOTE: If you are not able to see the app like the one in the screen below and you're seeing a bunch of advertisements on clicking the 3DCompass, then you are not using the right login link. Please use correct Login Link and set it as a Bookmark
Note: If 3DEXPERENCE Launcher is not installed then a window will pop up to install it. a) Click on Download 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher
b) Run the downloaded file. c) Follow the setup instructions. d) Click on continue. |
5. Click on Install All Granted Roles.
Design with SOLIDWORKS installation file set will be downloaded via the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher, and the installation should proceed automatically.
