The prerequisites for the below apps are listed on this page. Please ensure that you comply with the respective prerequisite requirements before installing the apps.

📢 Before you proceed please note: You cannot install and run SOLIDWORKS Connected 2021 on a machine that also has SOLIDWORKS 2021 or the 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS installed. However, you can install and run SOLIDWORKS Connected if you have SOLIDWORKS 2020 or an earlier version of SOLIDWORKS on your machine. Your platform administrator can help you resolve any concerns.

1. SOLIDWORKS Desktop

1.1) License/Role

Student Premium: Formerly known Student Engineering Kit

If your school is eligible then they should have received this serial number. Once you have obtained both of these, you can go to https://www.solidworks.com/SEK and fill out the form shown below to start the download process.

Student Edition

These licenses can be purchased online on the SOLIDWORKS Student Store http://www.solidworks.com/studentstore.
If you requested an online download instead of the DVDs then you will receive installation instructions via email.

2. 3DEXPERIENCE platform [CATIA, SIMULIA, DELMIA]

2.1) License/Role

+ or	1. You have 3DEXPERIENCE platform Login Credentials, and Purchased 3DEXPERIENCE platform CATIA Offer (If not, purchase now– Link), or The sponsorship request is accepted.
>	2. Administrator grants you a Role (License to access 3DEXPERIENCE platform)
	3. You receive an email confirmation (Save the link in this email, and use it to access or Access your Platform from https://go.3ds.com/educloud)
	Note: Your License is Linked to your Credentials. You can use your license on multiple compatible devices. (One device at a time.) The license is not tied to a particular machine.

2.2) Software

	1. Microsoft Windows 10
	2. Web Browser
	3. 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher (Download Link) (If not installed already, you will be prompted at the time of installation)

2.3) Hardware

1. Free Space on a local drive for Download and Installation (15GB for Download, and 25GB for Installation)
Note: Although it is a cloud-based app, only the licensing and storage/management of files is done via the cloud. 3DEXPERIENCE needs to be installed locally on the computer.

2. A machine that is certified or compatible.

3. 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher (Download Link)

3. SOLIDWORKS Connected [aka 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS]

3.1) License/Role

+ or	1. You have 3DEXPERIENCE platform Login Credentials, and Purchased SOLIDWORKS Connected (If not, purchase now– Link), or The sponsorship request is accepted.
>	2. You are granted a role (License to SW Connected)
	3. You receive an email confirmation (Save the link in this email, and use it to access or Access your Platform from https://go.3ds.com/educloud)
	Note: Your license is linked to your credentials. You can use your license on multiple compatible devices. (One device at a time.) The license is not tied to a particular machine.

3.2) Software

	1. Microsoft Windows 10
	2. Web Browser
	3. 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher (Download Link) (If not installed already, you will be prompted at the time of installation)

3.3) Hardware

1. Free Space on a local drive for Download and Installation (15 GB for Download, and 25 GB for Installation)

2. A machine that is certified or compatible machines with a high-end graphics card and at least 16 Gb RAM.

3.4) 3DSpace

To start using SOLIDWORKS Connected, first create a new Collaborative Space with the 3DSpace app, as all your data will be saved in the Collaborative Space.

3.5) Internet

With SOLIDWORKS Connected, your data is stored on the cloud, so it is necessary to have internet access.
