Ongoing activation issues

I am getting frustrated with the activation process associated with this product.

I have had our IT gurus try and track what is going on in the background when failing to contact the activation server. They have indicated it is attempting to use port 8080 which apparantly is a commonly used port for proxy servers and something they are not willing to change.

 

They requested I used the following url to see if we could bypass the connection

 When using this url i get the coldfusion login screen but require a password to connect

any sugesstions from the community or in particular the DraftSight developers would be appreciated. The product looks great but unless i can register my organisation will give it the flick!!

The next problem is using it on a stand alone secure network - if you can only register using the internet its no useable.

There appears to be numerous posts about registration and Im suprised about the lack of response.
