erroneous shift from mouse coords to screen coords

I had installed Draftsight at home and it seemed to work just fine. Most commands seem to mirror AutoCAD commands, so I was able to use it right away. I'm a very experienced AutoCAD user.

Now I've installed it at the office, and it doesn't work at all. If I open an existing drawing the screen appears blank, but I can select a crossing window and objects are selected. If I attempt to draw a line or circle, I see the dragable geometry appear where I was attempting to draw it, but with the next mouse click the "final" geometry is drawn displaced on the screen, potentially even off the screen. Seems to be a mismatch between mouse coords and screen coords.

I did a re-install and still have the same problem. I used the same downloaded install program on my home installation, and no problems there. This is totally unusable until I can fix this! Any suggestions? Could a dual monitor setup cause this problem? Is this some kind of goofy "cloud based" program, that internet security could interfere with? Any help would be appreciated!
