I'm trying to combine two large drawings (about 8000 entities in each).

When I try to copy a drawing, or large part of it, in Draftsight the program, stops  responding (I tried waiting up to an hour).

Additionally the mem usage in the task manager starts to grow and doesn't seem to stop.

Is there a solution to the problem? or maybe a better way to combine drawings?

I'm running Win10 with i7 processor and 8gb RAM.
