A few months ago was held the Design in the Age of Experience event in Milano. As part of that event, the 'Design for Life' Hackathon mixed the most progressive architectural and design practices in the world to address and solve complex environmental challenges. The teams engaged with Dassault Systèmes’ R&D specialists in creating solution-driven designs, which were presented to a panel of judges consisting of top designers and Dassault Systèmes executives - who then chose a winner. All the social innovation was made possible thanks to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
The Champion Story Interview
The participants came from all over the planet, and managed to produce amazing achievements and innovative projects. Among them, our CATIA Champion Nuri Miller (@NM ), was representing CO Architects. We had the chance to sit down and exchange with Nuri about his job at CO Architects, his years of experience with CATIA, the Community, his participation to the CATIA Champions Program. Nuri Miller is CO Architects’ Director of Digital Design and Technology and is responsible for the firm’s strategic use of technology to support and enhance the design process. His expertise includes a wide array of design platforms and advanced 3D Building Information Model (BIM) solutions. Nuri is also involved in advancing parametric design for CO's buildings through the use of CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform including the development of custom Knowledgeware and API code.
Nuri’s previous experience includes Senior BIM technology positions for Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) and Gehry Technologies (Frank Gehry’s technology consulting firm). At WDI, Nuri was responsible for the implementation and interoperability of design technologies across all projects for the Show Studio, one of the three major divisions within the organization. At Gehry Technologies, he created and managed custom API solutions for various BIM platforms including Digital Project/CATIA and organized many learning sessions and webinars to teach building industry experts in the effective use of CATIA.
