Hello,
As you know, I have 6 series called "My Experiences with 3DEXPERIENCE SolidWorks and Cloud Applications".
I will complete this series by adding two more series at the end of this month.
In my 7th article, I will design a modular vise using Tablet. I will produce this design using a 3D printer.
I needed to design a gear for this design. However, xDesign does not yet have a measure tool with which I can determine the arc length. While I was thinking about how to do it, an idea came to my mind. I tried and it worked.
In the first video I show you how to give the arc length in SolidWorks. This is an excerpt from an earlier video. |
In the second video I show you how to create a gear profile in xDesign. In the video, I only showed how to create a gear profile. For a detailed video, I recommend waiting for the 7th post. |
Instead of the above steps, I can also pull gear from PartSupply or SolidWorks toolbox. But what I really want to tell in this article is,
It was to show that a gear design can be designed in different ways in each design program.
Check out my xDesign Tips playlist here. I would be happy if you subscribe to my channel.
