👉 Each year, more than 250,000 people worldwide are affected by glioblastoma, a highly aggressive cancer with extremely high recurrence rates, despite surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.
💙 We’re proud to welcome Oncoelectronics 🇫🇷 to the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab program!
| 👉 Oncoelectronics, led by Alanna Harlton, is pioneering a breakthrough approach with its FloraVita device, an implantable, soft bioelectronic system that targets aggressive tumors directly at their source. Placed in the tumor cavity during surgery, it uses controlled electrical stimulation to destroy remaining cancer cells while preserving healthy tissue. By combining electroporation and electrotaxis, it both weakens cancer cells and activates the immune system, turning “cold” tumors into “hot” ones. The device also temporarily opens the blood–brain barrier, allowing treatments like chemotherapy to reach the tumor more effectively. |
🎯 Mission: Extend patient survival beyond current limits - Improve quality of life - Transform oncology through precise, programmable bioelectronic therapies.
🚀 At a broader scale, Oncoelectronics illustrates the convergence of deep tech, medical devices, and data-driven healthcare innovation. By embedding intelligence directly into therapeutic systems, this approach supports the rise of connected health ecosystems and real-time treatment optimization. It also reflects a shift toward more integrated, tech-enabled care models, where engineering, data science, and medicine work together to accelerate next-generation healthcare solutions.
