a different display area

When my old Mac hard drive died, I re-installed Draftsight standard on another Mac. The icon on the app bar at the bottom of the desktop calls it 2026. When I opened it, I have a totally different display. No command line, no symbol toolbar, just a drop down line of topics eg, draw, modify, window, etc. How do I get my old (familia) display back?

DraftSight 2026 setting to see distance by the cursor?

Anyone able to help me with this error message loading Draftsight please? I'm a Windows 11 user. "Error loading C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\DraftSight\bin\addins\DrawCompare.dll add-in file. Draftsight Graphics Anomaly black/white split screen.

I'm getting a graphics anomaly. The graphics area is split black and white. I can't see the drawing except when it flickers during zoom in/out. It was suggested that I turn off graphics acceleration, but the toggle doesn't appear in the options menu. I've got a quadro 4000 Video card BTW. I9 and all good hardware. Any thoughts? No hardware acceleration toggle on the options menu.

BLOCK Pallet issue draftsight 2022

Good morning. Yesterday i created a buch of blocks to help me with some P&ID. The problem is, today when i try to drag and drop the blocks i get the error message "can't create temp file". Non integer dxf frustration

I run draftsight as my main design program and use the dxf files to cut on my fibre laser. It’s been great until I updated draftsight about 6 months ago. Now cypcut won’t read the dxf files and says head is a non integer.blah blah I have been saving them. Opening them in lightburn, exporting DXF files from there to get them to Cypcut. DYNAMIC BLOCK ISSUE - AUTOCAD COMPATIBILITY

It seems that dynamic blocks created in DraftSight are not recognized as dynamic by other AutoCAD-based programs such as AutoCAD 2025. Draftsight 2026 SP2 not opening some dwg files

I have the latest 2026 SP2 program, and some DWG files with a map background open, but the model is black—nothing is visible. The "Edit/Select All" command crashes the program. After opening the file, I'm in the correct location according to the coordinates. On the "Layout" tab, I have a table from a map created by a surveyor and a white background—the map isn't loaded. DraftSight Standard 2026 SP1 x64 - Problems with moving, copying, stretching, rotating

Hello I have significant problems with drawing in DraftSight after reinstalling the new version of DraftSight Standard 2026 SP1 x64. Moving, copying, stretching a line or object by a certain length, rotating by a certain angle, etc. only works the first time and then it doesn't. I have to close DraftSight and reopen it. I have instances where the attached image prints inverse compared to the drafting lines. It does not happen all of the time but when I am printing a pdf file.

How to have a maximum floating window

Hi All I have DraftSight 26 installed on two computers. On one of them, which is a bit newer, I can have a floating window that I can maximize totally and float above the main menu. ( see image attached ) The other only maximises to a certain extend, not above the menu and with command Ctrl+0 I would love to have the option to freely float as described at the top on both laptops, i love to only focus in the drawing and most commands i type anyway. 2D drawings displayed as 3D when opening the file

Hardware acceleration deactivation

Hello, how does it work to deactivate the hardware accelleration? While I am drawing, some of the lines sometimes are going to be invisible (--> for example while zooming) and don't come back again. After close and open the file once again, the lines are still exisiting. I think, this is a graphic issue - how can I dectivate the harware accelleration or activate economic modus (energy saver modus)?! Thanks!

3d drawing to STL File

Hello, I have a drawing I did in 3D and am trying to save it as a STL file so I can send it to my 3D printer. When I export the file and highlight the drawing it says 0 entities found. I tried a couple different drawings and get the same results. I watched the video from 2019 that draftsight put out on how to convert a 2d to 3d if that makes sense. Sheet print configuration changes after printing

Hello to all, I am using DS 2026 sp1 and I am facing the following problem. I have setup my sheets properly, with the desired print configuration. Every time that I print some (not all) sheets the print configuration changes to default. To revert it I have to open the "Print Configuration Manager..." and then close it immediately without changing anything. Then the print configuration is fixed. This is very annoying. Is there anything I can do about this? Or, am I missing something here?

Updating Sheet List Table Error

I have successfully inserted a Sheet List Table on one on my drawing sheets (Table of Contents) under a Sheet Set. This contains 3 columns: my Drawing Sheet Number, my Drawing Sheet Description, and REVISION (which is a custom sheet set drawing property). I am not able to "Update Drawing Sheet List Table" without receiving an <> message in the command window. All my files are saved locally under the same folder and I have verified there are no broken links. Help!

cannot create linear dimensions that are associative in 2026 SP1

I just realized that linear dimensions that I create in Draftsight 2026 SP1 are NOT associative. Other dimensions such as radius are. Interestingly, the linear dimensions in existing drawings remain associative. This really messes with my workflow! 😟 Anyone else noticing this?

Crashes after selecting color from palette.

I have Draftsight Professional 2026SPO x 64. Brand new computer, meets and exceeds requirements. Everything seems to be fine, except when trying to change to a different color on the palette. I can change to one of the 7 colors when you select the drop down, but if I try to change to one of the color palettes or shades of grey, the program immediately crashes. I have been a Draftsight user for 12 years, and have never had this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Slow and closing out

Does anyone else have issues with draftsight getting really slow and glitching when you try and save or create a pdf? Or have lines with different colors change or disappear when you zoom in or out? Esnaps suddenly stopped working

I have added this note in case it helps others with the same issue. Note that lines 8 & 9 below are the solution to the problem: I am using Draftsight Professional 2026 SP1. I found that Esnaps suddenly stopped working. I discovered the problem was a corrupted user profile. I tested this by renaming the old profile (C:\Users\[myname]\AppData\Roaming\DraftSight) to DraftSight_old and re-starting DraftSight. Since Draftsight 2026 requires Windows 11 we would need an older version. Can these still be obtained and is the free trial available as the 2025 version so we can try it out first?

I've seen that with DS 2026, making double click of left button on a block, the default action is: edit block in a separate window! But it's very unuseful for me!!! I like the old setting, with double click for edit block IN PLACE! Someone can help me please?

How can I get my DS Professional back working on my computer when the DS Premium installed by mistake replaced my Professional subscription software? Now when I start the DS Premium it wants me to activate it, but I want the DS professional program only to work with, not the DS Premium. How would I do this and who can I talk to?
