Hey I'm working on a boat for my school club's competition, and I am in charge of CFD simulation. By doing this, I'm trying to recreate a simulation of our boat in a free surface flow simulation in SolidWorks. However, I'm having a weird bug in my SolidWorks. When following along videos to help with the flow simulation, I'm discovering that I am missing the "Dependency" button in my Wizard function, so I can't edit two bodies of different fluids to recreate a life scenario. Hi all, When running a rolling simulation in Abaqus/Standard I have strange roll force/torque behaviour (see screenshot). My only way of reasoning with this is that the sheet hasn't reached a steady state yet but from the second screenshot we can see that a large portion of the sheet has been rolled so I would expect the force/torque to have flattened off at some stage. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Hi, I'm a student trying to access Solidworks through my laptop. I do have a Mac but downloaded Parallels to obtain microsoft. I was able to download Solidworks and verify my log in. Now whenever I try to open Solidworks, it does not even get through this screen as shown. Once it hits this screen, it ends up just crashing and Solidworks just goes away. Any help please?

Is there a way to offset an entire body? I need the result of offseting an entire body to then use the combine tool. I've seen the thicken command and the offset tool but this doesn't work in body parts. What i need it's not scaling but offseting the entire body so that it mantains it's original volume. So for instance in the attached image you can see a similar result of what I want using offset, but this takes only individual faces I want the whole geometry to be affected and connected, so

We do sheet metal flat patterns frequently and one issue that bugs me is when making the flat pattern view I select the "(A) Flat pattern" check box and place the view. Everything seems fine but at some point the "check" escapes from the box and if I try to replace it the view loses all of its dimensions. (We are using SWX 2023 SP5 on Windows 10 machines) Is there a way to prevent this? Is there a solution to this? Do I just leave it and move on?

Hello, I'm learning SW and I'm not sure if I'm going about this correctly or not, but I have an imported 3D model that I have split using a Planar Surface. I then used the Move/Copy tool to separate the 2 bodies, filled-in surfaces the open sides and knitted them. Then I've added 2 male pin extrusions on one body but I'm having trouble figuring out how to subtract the matching female pin holes on the other body and move the bodies back together.

Hello Everyone! I am trying to make a sheet metal pipe that would have a bend line like the one shown on this model I made as a solid. When I try to convert the swept cut extrude into a bend, it is failing as the extrude is not planar. If anyone could help with it, you may find the file attached here below. Thank you!

I have uninstall SW2022 and installed SW2023 student verion too. But When I try to open SW Connected I get this error. I do not know what to do. When I unistalled SW Connected, I do not know why, SW 2023 Student version has disappered, I have no longer SW computer version, just the othe icons, electical, composer, etc. Now I am trying to install Connected, but what happened with the desk version??? I need the premium version for my certification test. Help please!
