Hi all, I have just activated 3DX and installed Solidworks Connected on my company's desktop,
Right now, I am trying to set up the folder structure for my company's workspace, so that CAD files can be saved under the correct bookmarks.
However, I have encountered some difficulties.
Firstly, I receive this error message every time I try to create a bookmark, :
You cannot create this object: Bookmark Root
You may not have the required responsibility in the target collaborative space to create this type of object.
Verify that you are using the correct credentials.
I currently have the credentials of Common Space-Owner, Common Space-Leader, and Default-Administrator. Is there something I am missing for the set-up?
Secondly, the whole 3DX is rather overwhelming. There are so many apps and roles that I kind of don't know where to start.
At this moment in time, my company is mainly interested in CAD-ing on a cloud platform, with some PLM features which 3DX offers.
What are the roles I should be assigning to collaborators who will be editing the CAD?
What are the roles I should be assigning to other managers who will be organizing the workspace?
Lastly, what are the differences between Document Management and 3DDrive, and how do they integrate with Bookmark Editor?
Will our CAD files be appearing in 3DDrive when we save them into the cloud?
Are there apps on the 3DX platform which will help me to generate a Bill of Materials, their design revisions and such?
