DELMIA NC uses two separate simulation engines for material removal. The native DELMIA simulation is used when editing a Machining Operation (MO) and selecting the Simulate button within the dialog box. This method does not display machine kinematics.
All other DELMIA NC simulations use a second simulation engine, which requires a C-compiler to be pre-installed. Most users opt for Visual Studio Community 2019 or 2022, as versions beyond 2022 are currently not supported by DELMIA. The compiler is used to build the Dymola domain, which enables high-performance simulations—particularly for large domains that include full machine kinematics.
