A head-scratcher here. 

Often times, there are many instances of similar parts that we need to select before controlling them precisely, such as assign materials, move, hide and so on. 

It'd be tedious, time-consuming, and error prone to manually pick them all, such as all the screws on this speaker, or all the side panels. 

I mean, locate, click on all of the 6, or 10 or even dozens of them, without accidentally losing previously selected objects? Come on😅

That's why it's pretty sweet to see selection made easier now in xHighlight🎈. 

For instance, right mouse click on one screw below, and notice the command in the context menu: Select with similar instance. 

Click and done. 

With this magic command, all instances are automatically picked for you

What about the other command "Select with similar color"? 

No problem. All side panels are picked up automatically! What a time saver! 

Even better, you can save them into Selection Sets for quick revisits in the future. 

As shown below, the button is at the top of on the Assembly panel. With all the screws selected, this command will create a Selection set to collect them. 

Click on the Pull-down arrow on a selection set, you'll see the command for further edits. 

For example, Renaming helps a lot to give it a descriptive name to recognize quickly what each collection holds.
