Improve Agile Project workload management with Story pointing.

How   

New concept ‘ Story Points’ is introduced for Agile Project, allowing you to optimize agile team workload.

‘Story Points’ field is available in the Property Panel of:

• Story Tasks
  • Story Points- an estimate of the overall effort required to fully implement the story task work.
    
• Iterations:
  • Capacity value – The maximum capacity of story points that can be assigned to all related Story tasks.
  • Accumulated value- A roll-up value of Story Points from all related Story Tasks.
    If this value exceeds the Capacity value, then the Accumulated value appears in red with a warning icon.
    

Note: ‘Story Task’ is a task created in Agile Project as a result of an object (Work Context) added to an Iteration.

Why

Enrich Project lifecycle with new maturity states

How   

When a project is in ‘Draft’ or ‘On Hold’ state:

• Tasks under that project will not be seen in ‘Collaborative Tasks’ app unless the project is set as context.
• Authors cannot edit the project or any tasks or milestones under it. (No change in behavior for other access roles)
• Assignees and owner of tasks cannot edit their tasks unless they are a leader of the project.

Note: When a new project is created, it will be now in Draft state

Why

Enhance Project Planning by introducing Gates

How   

You can now create Gates in Project Planning.

Gates contain a field called ‘Resolution’ which includes the following values:

• Go
• Kill
• Hold
• Recycle
• Conditional Go

Why

Improved communication and team cohesion by exporting the project schedule view to printable format.

How   

You can now export a copy of the project schedule view to printable format.

To export the schedule: 

• Open the project ‘Information Panel’ and select the ‘Export Schedule’ command, which is available in the ‘Open Menu’.
  
• In the ‘Export to SVG’ dialog box, specify the ‘Start Date’ and the ‘End Date’ of the schedule segment to be included in the export file.
