Enhancements in Cost Metric Updates Based on Context Product

Why

Improved flexibility thanks to the ability to modify cost metric irrespective of the maturity state of the context product

How     

• You can now modify the estimated, declared (firm), and measured (actual) cost metrics irrespective of the maturity state of the context product. For this, you must have Author or Leader access role.
• This is also possible even if you have a read-only access of the context product.

Note: Users with Reader role can only view metric values and are not allowed to make updates, irrespective of the context product's maturity state.

Enhancements in Non Recurring Cost Roll-ups for Multi-instantiated Parts

Why

Improved accuracy thanks to streamlined handling of non-recurring costs in multi-instantiated parts within the BOM structure

How     

• You can now accurately manage costs in the Cost Intelligence app by ensuring non-recurring costs for a part are counted just once although it has been instantiated multiple times within the BOM structure.
• This is useful for the Cost Engineers and Managers in accurately tracking of non-recurring costs like Tooling, Design, Development, and Facilities costs.

Note: Prior to this enhancement, in the Cost Intelligence app, non-recurring costs are currently duplicated when Parts are reused in multiple instances within a program's product definition
