Classification tools During Document Creation

Why

Save time by bookmarking and classification of Documents directly from the creation dialogue

How

•A new tab ‘Classification tools’ is now available in ‘New Document’ dialog box.

•The ‘Classification tools’ tab allows you to define the following during the Document creation:

-Bookmarks:

Allows you to define the bookmark of the new Document

-Libraries:

Allows you to select the classification library and to classify the Document on the fly

-IP Export Control:

Allows you to define the IP Control library classes that will be used to protect the Document

Add Kanban Board app to Collaborative Industry Innovator license (Packaging)

How

The ‘Kanban Board’ application, which was first introduced in R2023x FD03 as part of the Project Planner role, is now available with the Collaborative Industry Innovator role.

The ‘Kanban Board’ application provides you a simple way to visualize and mature all actionable work activities

Note: The Kanban Board application is available only on cloud.

Add content at the Route Task level
Why Improve route content definition by adding content at the task level
How Until now, you could add content to the Route. This content was available at the route level as well as in all route tasks. Now, you can also add content to a specific task within a route. To support that, the field ‘Content’ in the task property panel was changed to ‘Content to review’. Using the ‘Content to review’ field you can: Add content to the task View all content (content from the route as well as content from the task) The ‘Content to review’ filed is now available in both: Task property panel Task creation dialog

Add content at the Route Task level

Why

Improve route content definition by adding content at the task level

How

Until now, you could add content to the Route.
This content was available at the route level as well as in all route tasks.

Now, you can also add content to a specific task within a route.

To support that, the field ‘Content’ in the task property panel was changed to ‘Content to review’.
Using the ‘Content to review’ field you can:
- Add content to the task
- View all content (content from the route as well as content from the task)

The ‘Content to review’ filed is now available in both:
- Task property panel
- Task creation dialog

Archive Route Template
Why Reduce errors by archiving route templates that are no longer in use.
How A new maturity state, ‘Archived’ is introduced for Route Templates, allowing you to archive Route Templates. Admin can reactivate Archived Template by demoting the template into ‘Released‘ maturity state. Template owner is notified when template gets archived and reactivated. Archived Templates do not appear in search results neither in the Templates section. You can display archived templates by selecting ‘Archived’ in the ‘Filter By’ menu available in the Templates section toolbar.

How

A new maturity state, ‘Archived’ is introduced for Route Templates, allowing you to archive Route Templates.

Admin can reactivate Archived Template by demoting the template into ‘Released‘ maturity state.

Template owner is notified when template gets archived and reactivated.

Archived Templates do not appear in search results neither in the Templates section.

You can display archived templates by selecting ‘Archived’ in the ‘Filter By’ menu available in the Templates section toolbar.

How A new command, ‘Add Link’ was added to Bookmark toolbar and Bookmark context menu, allows you to add an external URL as content in Bookmark. You can perform the following operations on the URL: Cut, Copy & Paste – cut or copy the link and paste in a different Bookmark Remove – remove the URL from the Bookmark Open Link – click the URL to open it in browser

Extended Revision support for Document
Why Comply with company standards by customizing the revision policy for documents.
How You can now create a customized revision sequence and apply it to documents by importing a JSON file that contains a new revision sequence. After importing the JSON file, the new sequence is now available in the Document Release Policy field, in the ‘Naming Rules’ tab in the ‘Collaborative Space Configuration Center’ app under ‘Revision Naming Rules’ category.

Why Streamline Document Management process by managing file iterations
How A new command, ‘File Iterations’, is now available in the File context menu in the Document Files Tab. File Iterations allows you to: View all file iterations including iteration information such as creation date, owner and comments. Download selected file iteration. Restore selected file iteration. When restoring selected iteration, a new file iteration is automatically created based on the selected iteration, and becomes the latest file iteration.

File Iterations allows you to:

How You can now filter the list of files in the Document Files tab based on the filter criteria you specify. Lock and Unlock commands are now available in the Files tab toolbar, allows you to lock the selected files to prevent modification and creation of a new revision. •You can now use the new My Templates section to easily create and manage your issue templates

•Maturity state support is now provided to seamlessly manage the lifecycle:

- When the template is in Personal maturity state, template owner and stakeholders with whom it is shared can use it to create new issues.

- When the template is in Released maturity state, all the users in the collaborative space can use it to create new issues.

3D Markup: Improved Commenting Experience While Reviewing Documents

Why

Improved effectiveness of document review thanks to the enhanced commenting experience

How

You can now use the new Rich Text format to effectively comment your review observations on the documents (For example: PDF Documents, Requirement Documents)
This enhancement also allows you to:
- Use Bullets or Numbering for ease of understanding and improved clarity of the review
- Add a Hyperlink of external or internal references to quickly access the relevant data
- Tag any stakeholder to easily notify them about further actions

3D Markup: Support for Text and Picture Markers in 2D Document Reviews

Why

Improved effectiveness and productivity thanks to the support for text and picture markers

How

•You can now add text and picture markers in the reviews for Documents or Requirements.
•This is useful in clearly and effectively documenting your review feedback.

3D Markup: Highlighting the Measured Parts

Why

Improved measurement accuracy thanks to highlighting the specific part being measured

How

Before this enhancement, When measuring product volume or surface, a bounding box was added for consistency. This does not precisely convey the measured product, particularly in complex assemblies with components not aligned to the global axis.
To overcome this issue, the part of the product being measured is highlighted when the measure is selected.

3DPlay: New UI for Excel Documents

Why

Improved navigation experience thanks to new UI to view Microsoft Excel documents

How

In the 3DPlay app, you can now navigate between sheets of the Microsoft Excel document using a tab bar or the navigation buttons on the action bar.

Why

Improved efficiency thanks to the ability to export product relations information into CSV file

How

In the Datagrid view of the Relations app, you can now access the new "Export" option to export all the information in the current view to the CSV file.

How

The new “Customize Relations” tab is now provided in the relations customization dialog box.
This allows you to define which relations to display in the view, and their direction (upstream/downstream).
