Enhance Save Command for Revit Schedule Exposition

Why

Save Revit schedules to the 3DEXPERIENCE as an Excel file (XLS/XLSX) or csv file to be later viewed in Excel or directly on the 3DEXPERIENCE.

How

On Save the connector will now be able to save Revit schedules directly into the platform providing:

  • Improved productivity by using the latest shared version of the mockup and avoid reworks
  • Ability to capture the design done in Revit and use of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform capabilities
  • Single source for the 3D digital mockup and its derived outputs
  • Users the ability to quickly understand/view the needs in terms of material quantities, zoning for a given project

Enhance Revit PowerBy Central Location Management

Why

Set the path to the location of the central file to allow easier administration of the Revit environment

How

You are now able to change the Revit central file’s location according to the project you are working on enabling the continuity and sharing of the different discipline’s models across the project environment

Enhance Collaborative Approach for Discipline Identification

Why

Align platform Collaborative Space with that of Revit roles to allow better control over modification by stakeholders based on their “Revit roles”

How

The Revit Connector will now institute the following security model map when saving data to the platform:

  • Author role assigned to BIM-Coordinator.
  • Reader role assigned to Designer.
  • Contributor assigned to Designer or BIM-Coordinator.
  • Leader role assigned to Resource Manager who manages Family creation and template creation for Family or Revit Project

A sample organization model is illustrated below

Enhance Support for Multiple Revit Versions and Clients Opened in Parallel

Why

Provide support for multiple Revit clients and versions to allow users more flexibility in using the Revit application

How

You are now able to use the Connector for Revit on multiple Revit clients at the same time or on different versions opened in parallel on the same machine.

The primary capabilities this provides are:

  • Working on linked models in other Revit instances or clients on one machine while keeping the linkage with the “primary” model, thus keeping the design context and facilitating their design or review work.
  • Working on several projects opened in several Revit clients or instances running at the same time to avoid the need to reopen their models all the time in order to save time.
