R2027x GA | Legacy to Strategic Apps Transition Overview
From R2027x GA onward, only Strategic (Next Gen) apps will be available, replacing all legacy apps.
The transition is as follows:

Some features that were available in legacy applications are now offered differently in the replacement Next Gen apps.
These improvements reflect the new design and approach of Next-Gen apps, providing a more intuitive and streamlined experience while covering the same use cases.

| Document Library | Document Libraries are specialized for document classification but are being phased out in favor of General Libraries. General Libraries provide a more flexible and scalable approach to classify all types of content. Customers are encouraged to transition from Document Libraries to General Libraries. |
| Part Library | Part Libraries are specialized for classifying eBOM Parts using Engineering BOM Management app (ENOVIA Engineering Central). Product Engineer (PDE) and Classification Manager (CCM) customers can continue to use Part Libraries upon explicit request. |
| Attribute Group | Attribute Group is deprecated. Attributes from Legacy Attribute Groups can always be accessed and reused within Classes Display and management of attributes are now handled at class level through improved table-based layouts, simplifying usage and making attribute usage across classes more visible. |
| Document Access & Organization | Standard widgets replace legacy features. “My Documents” is now available through the ENOVIA Document Management widget. Folder organization is handled via the ENOVIA Bookmark Editor. |
