Please follow the steps below to perform a clean reinstallation of the DraftSight® software. Please note, these steps should only be followed by a suitably qualified person. Incorrectly deleting the wrong folder will cause issue with other applications.

1) Delete "/Applications/DraftSight" to uninstall DraftSight.

 2) Check if the following folders are present and rename them to “DraftSight_old”

a) /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Preferences/DraftSight

b) /Users/Shared/DraftSight

c) /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/Dassault Systemes/DraftSight

d) /Users/[USERNAME]/Documents/DraftSight_root_autosave

3) DraftSight license information is stored here:

~/Library/Preferences/Flexnet Publisher

Rename this folder to Flexnet_old.

4) Rename each of these folders by adding the extension “…old”

a)/Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Preferences/com.3ds.draftsight.plist

b)/Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Preferences/com.dassault-systemes.DraftSight.plist

c)/Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Preferences/com.swactivation.K2.plist

d)/Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Preferences/DraftSight'

5) Browse to the location : '/Users/ [username]/Library/Saved Application State' and rename the folder 'com.3ds.draftsight.savedState‘ to ‘com.3ds.draftsight.savedState_old’

 6) Now download "DraftSight.pkg" file from https://www.3ds.com/products-services/draftsight-cad-software/download-draftsight/?wockw=Draftsight and reinstall DraftSight using the serial number provided on your purchase receipt.
