Course Description

This course focuses on the usage of the application Ergonomic Workplace Design (EWD) of the 3DExperience Platform. At the end of this training, you will be able to use every aspect of the application and to evaluate the safety of the worker task in 3D with EWD.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, you will be able to:

• Create worker task in 3D
• Understand suggestions and modify the 3D environment to test different scenarios to lower the risk of injuries for the worker
• Understand the categorization of resources and the link with other applications of Dassault Systèmes
• Interact with machines in EWD
• structure 3D Data to have an accurate evaluation of the worker task safety
• Understand the pricing model of EWD based on credits: Ergonomic Workplace Credits (EWC)

Instructor

Quentin Bourret

Started to work on EWD project in January 2016. During his Master degree at Ecole de Technologie Supérieure (ETS) de Montréal, his research project was to automate the grasp of the manikin in 3D. In 2018, at the end of his master degree, he was hired as a contractor to finalize the automatic grasping algorithms. In November 2017, he was hired by Dassault Systèmes to be part of the product definition team of the Virtual Ergonomic of Delmia, continuing to work on EWD application.
