Electromagnetics Engineer
We are proud to announce that with the R2023x GA release on December 3rd, electromagnetic simulation capabilities will be added to the already existing structures and fluids functionalities in the 3DEXPERIENCE Education roles 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer Student, 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer for Education (U2R) and Simulation Engineer for Education (U2U). Users will be able to access SIMULIA CST Studio Suite, the leading solution for low to high frequency (static to optical) electromagnetic simulations. This product can be used to design antenna and microwave devices and identify and mitigate electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) risks in electronic devices. The available functionality is the same like in the Commercial Role Electromagnetic Engineer (EMG), but the maximum model size and available embedded CPU cores are limited:
For working with larger models, the restrictions can be lifted with the additional license Simulation Researcher (UNU). You can learn how to use this new functionality by completing the EDU Space learning path "Perform as an Electromagnetics Engineer". If you are a student at a academic institution and do not already have access, please contact your platform administrator to obtain the voucher required to access the EDU Space.
