  Now volume of material trapped by an undercut, is easily displayed using Undercut Volume option. This will help to avoid errors during manufacturing.
  Also, for unnecessary undercuts, using Undercut Volume filling option, reduction of number of mold inserts is possible.

  Effective mold Inserts functionality ensures speedy design for symmetric parts, as there are new 'flip' and 'bi-directional' options for specifying inserts.

  You can now Freeze a portion of a model while in edit mode, to ensure editing of desired portion only. This ensures that no unwanted change on frozen portion, during designing.
• Use more commands in xShape: 
  Use Fillet, Chamfer to smoothen sharp edges within xShape, instead of having to switch to xDesign, which improves productivity.
  Copy with Mates is also now available.
• Quickly Select Elements:
  Select the components by easily drawing around them in the work area using Lasso Selection tool.

• Flexible assemblies created in SOLIDWORKS are supported in 3DEXPERIENCE authoring apps i.e. xDesign, xShape, etc. As we create big assembly and specify subassemblies as Flexible one’s in SOLIDWORKS, it acts as same when we import it in 3DEXPERIENCE Platform apps.
• Now 3DEXPERIENCE Platform allows you to drag and drop components directly from Feature Manager Design Tree to 3DEXPERIENCE Platform app (i.e. Bookmark Editor) which provides you ease in working with assemblies.

Forward Wiki Pages
We can now forward wiki pages from one community to another.
The forward feature that exists in 3DSwym allows you to share content published in a community, or a conversation to another community/conversation. It has now been extended to wiki pages.

 

1. Forward a single page

• Available from the content drop-down menu.
• Accessible to members that created the wiki page, community owners, and admin.

• This feature will now allow you to forward and display to the newly forwarded content, or to remain on the same page where the forward was done from, all of these is possible because of availability of 'forward & display' option.

1. Forward multiple page

• Available from the wiki tree menu
• Accessible to community owners and administrators

This feature will be available as an option in the wiki tree in which the 'forward & display' option is unavailable.

• Don't forget to expand the node of the wiki tree you want to forward, as sub-wiki pages are not selected by default.

• Once selected, you can continue to select the destination community.

Benefits:

• You will receive notifications when all forwards are completed.
• All forwarded pages will be displayed individually in the what's new.
• The original hierarchical structure can be used in destination wiki.

Limitations:

• Media in a wiki page will not be forwarded, in case you do not have edition rights on media, or if Media is in a public community

• 'Search in tab' option for each tab of a 3DDashboard
  We can now search in each tab of a 3DDashboard with 'Search in tab' option, under menu of each tab.
  It will display a search input just beneath the tab name, instead of focusing the top bar search input.

• Note: This search input as an overlay will keep display until you will close it manually, or do any action to close it (For example: tab change, dashboard change, any action that will change the current tab to another tab etc.).

When you click 'Search In Current Tab' option available for 3DDashboard, you will be redirected to 'Search in Tab' option available for current tab of the dashboard.

• Search in widget

Now, we also have 'Search in widget' option available for each widget.

• Display only the selected tenant
  You can now change the tenant using the top bar selection menu, so that apps should display the content of the selected tenant. 3DDrive will only show the selected tenant in the drives view, with all external drives (Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive).
   

• Reorganized User Interface
  The "Add members" action is now removed from the top actions bar and content dropdown menu for folders and files.
  When we will click on the "Share" action, we will get all the sharing capabilities suitable for the selection displayed on the screen.
  You can also share to 3DSwym Community now.
   

• Sketch in context of a background image
  Sketch in context of picture is now available for everyone in 3DSwym communities and conversations, by selecting ‘Sketch it’ on a perspective picture.

By choosing the ‘Sketch in context of a background image’ mode, the application will try to retrieve automatically the perspective of the given image.
• In case the AI algorithm has found more than one perspective, you can navigate through the different perspectives and choose the best one.
• If no perspective can be retrieved, you can manually set it.

• Multitenant support from 3DDashboard

This information will help you in case if you are using different environments having multiple tenants. This is a change related to the tenant list (Platform list) that is displayed.

Previously the secondary menu was visible with the “Select Platform” option, Now with this function the secondary menu will no longer have the “Select Platform” option.

                                                       The tenant change will be managed from the global top bar.

• Format Compatibility Improved
  The list of standard exchange formats supported is now enriched, with STEP AP242 tesselated and monolithic formats.
• Productivity Improved:
  User can now decide to 'upload' the loaded content into 3DSpace application, in addition of 3DDrive and 3DSwym applications. This improves the users' productivity because they can validate the content, before pushing it to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Optional organization selection for members of a collaborative space
This new feature will allow us to specify the organization with which we would like to add members (users/ user groups).
Note: Here the term ‘Organization’ refers to either Company or Business Unit or Department

Benefits:

• This function will allow selecting an organization from the ‘add member’ panel. All the members will be added on the collaborative space with the selected organization.
• The ‘add Members’ panel will be modified in order to add the possibility to select the organization.
• The new option ‘Assign credentials with a given organization’ is deactivated by default. The current behavior will remain the default behavior.
• If this option is activated, We can type the first letters of the organization on the search bar, starting from the third letter, a list with the organization’s title is displayed automatically and the user can select one of them. All the members in this panel will be assigned to the selected organization.
• If the checkbox is selected and an organization is selected, the checkbox will remain checked for the future use of the add member modal. If the user clears the cache of the browser, the saved behavior for the checkbox will be lost.
• New created organizations may not appear immediately; the operation can take some time, as the search for those organizations relies on data indexing. The only first forty results corresponding to the typed organization’s title are displayed.

Limitations:

• Only one organization can be selected.
• Update the responsibility on a specific organization can only be done from the ‘Advanced view’
• Only one organization can be selected from the list. In addition, this organization will be applied for all the added members.

  You can now download multiple documents using the  Download File command or select Download File from the right pane-contextual menu.
  Benefits: You can download multiple files at the same time.
• Bookmark Structure
  You can now retain the bookmark structure without its content in the copied bookmark. All attributes and the sharing permissions of the child objects are copied with the bookmark structure.
  Benefits: You can create multiple bookmarks with the same structure.

'Baselines', an important concept of Project Management can now be plotted in the app.

• Capture the state of projects at a given date including planning and execution data to provide traceability of the project evolution.
• In addition you will discover a new project setting "Actual Dates Strategy"
