I'm currently working on a sequentially coupled structural acoustic analysis, and I need to transfer surface velocity data from Simpack to Abaqus. Specifically, I have run a multi-body simulation in Simpack to calculate surface velocities on a gearbox, and now I want to use this data as a boundary condition in Abaqus for an acoustic analysis.
Here’s what I need help with:
I’ve already printed the velocity data into a .drf file from Simpack. What is the best way to import this data into Abaqus and apply it as a boundary condition for the acoustic analysis? I plan to use the surface velocities to calculate sound pressure, through a steady-state dynamic analysis.
Any advice or examples on how to successfully transfer the surface velocities between these two software packages and perform the coupled analysis in Abaqus would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
