Hello Abaqus users,

I have done a static linear analysis of my model. The first image is the undeformed model and the second image is the deformed model. It can be observed in the deformation that the two supporting elements merge with the bottom element. Is it normal for FEM software to show such results ?? I was expecting the supporting elements to only coincide with the bottom element. I tried decreasing the load but I was still getting the same result. Any inputs would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.
