Multiple member connection at one single pin?

We are currently working on developing an Abaqus model to analyze a fairly simple structure. In doing so, however, we are having an issue with connecting more than two members at a single joint. Connecting two members at a joint is not an issue. We know that this can easily be done by creating a “Connector Section” or by establishing proper “Constraints” at the connecting joint in Abaqus, but the addition of a third member makes the model fail! To better explain the problem, a simplified example is shown on the provided diagram. In this example, two inclined members DC and EC are pinned at C to the solid horizontal beam member ACB. Where the three members meet at joint C there is an issue. With only two members (ACB & DC) the model runs without a problem, but when a third member (member EC) is added, the model produces an error. I have conducted a number of searches into how to properly connect more than two members at a single point in a structure using Abaqus, but have not been able to find a solution yet. It would be appreciated, if you could suggest a solution, or point us to the specific resource (or documentation) that can possibly help us to properly model the structure
