Hi Good evening to all, i am beginner to Abaqus cae, i am trying to solve a side impact analysis of square tube with rigid circular impactor, material is steel with some plasticity data. Analysis is not able to complete due to error of excessive element distortion so analysis is aborted, i am trying this using a orphan mesh and heard that using remeshing can be used for native mesh components only.

So any suggestion to control this error in abaqus for orphan mesh?

Also kinetic energy is increasing after impact & Kinetic energy is more then total energy these should not happen but its happening, so any reason for this problem?
