Hello all,

For a research project i am working on an additive manufacturing simulation of a manufacturing process in Abaqus but i have some questions regarding the event series named "ABQ_AM_HeatSourceTrajectory_RuleID". The first 4 entries make sense to me: t=Time at specific coordinate, X,Y,Z= coordinates of toolpath at specific time. But what does Rule ID mean here? And what does it need as input? 

Any ideas are appreciated. 

Update: I managed to get the heat appilication working by switching to an uniform heat source instead of a concentrated one. Now the Power Magnitude eventseries finds elements and applies heat correctly. Why it diddnt work with the concentrated heat source, i dont know. The eventseries "ABQ_AM_HeatSourceTrajectory_RuleID" was kept the same with a 1 entry in the last column. Ty for the answers and help.
