CST - Simulation of Long Bounded Structures

Dear Simulia community,

I am looking for an appropriate simulation tool for an electrically large model in CST Studio Suite  .
I am designing an optical directional coupler, consisting of two adjacent waveguides with cores made of different semiconductor materials. The length of the directional coupler is large compared to the minimal wavelength, so the computing time with the time domain solver is unreasonably long.

Is anyone aware of a suitable approximation method that is implemented in CST Studio (e.g., in the VBA macros menu)? The available vEIM solver is not suitable when different core materials are present.
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, CST does not have an eigenmode expansion (EME) solver, which would be best suited for this kind of problems.
