Hello everybody! Even if my question is quite simple, I couldn't find a satisfactory answer on the web. Looking up the sketches of second order elements in the documentation, the edges seem to be curved. But when I mesh a curved geometry in Abaqus using second order elements, the elements look geometrically linear with kinks at the edge nodes.
