I have a square bar pinned on one side with an applied gravity load (undeformed and deformed shown below) that causes the bar to rotate about its pinned axis. I have attached a torsional spring element at the pin location as well. I would like to use the deformed configuration in another simulation, but for some reason when I import the deformed geometry it imports as a very skinny rectangle oriented differently than the rotated bar. Is there some problem with how I am using the import function? Will I need to use a work around using the deformed coordinates to recreate this part? (script included as .txt, convert to .py)
