Missing "Manufacturing Assembly" Object Type in Transition Control Rules + Clarification on Manufacturing Item Types

Environment: 3DExperience Cloud 2025 FD02

Question:
I'm currently configuring transition control rules for the Engineering Definition Maturity State in ENOVIA, and I’ve run into a couple of issues I’d like your help with:

1. Missing "Manufacturing Assembly" Object Type

I’m unable to locate an Object Type labeled "Manufacturing Assembly" when setting up the transition rules.

  • Has this object type been deprecated or renamed in recent versions?
  • If so, what is its current equivalent, especially for use in lifecycle transitions?

2. General Manufacturing Item Type

Is there a generic Object Type that applies to all Manufacturing Items, rather than having to define rules separately for each type like Discrete Manufacturing Item or Continuous Manufacturing Item?

I’m wondering if Discrete Manufacturing Item is the default or catch-all type in schema definitions — but I’d like confirmation.

3. "Transform Manufacturing Item" – What Is It?

I also came across a type called Transform Manufacturing Item, but I’m not sure what distinguishes it from the others.

  • Is this used in a specific context?
  • Does it relate to specific workflows (e.g., routing or process transformations)?

4. Prevent MfgItems from being Released if EngItem is not in target state?

Is it possible to setup a control rule to block MfgItems from being released if its scope linked EngItem is not yet released?

Any clarification or documentation pointers would be greatly appreciated! I am specially looking for deep dive materials on MfgItems in 3DExperience. Unfortunately, the 3DExperience Learners content seems to be very basic still.
