Is there a way to open a Solid Works model in Draft Sight, and if so, if that model contains text, will the text not be exploded into geometry? I need this because I create laser marking programs from designers Solid Works models. They normally give me a dxf to pull into my laser cad software. However, the characters are exploded and can't be interchanged with other fonts, or exchanged with a similar font containing laser filler lines (we make aircraft instrument panels, and laser etch the black paint away, leaving the white paint below it in the shape of the characters required for a panels artwork. These are illuminated for the pilots to see.) Having to work with exploded characters makes my job a great deal harder. I tried to use the view palette feature in DWG Editor, but that nothing happens (no browse menu appears) I'm hoping that Draft Sight has a way to do this. Please help.
