I'm trying to set up a way to update an attribute within a block (block file attached) and have several other attributes update to the same value when the block is inserted into a drawing. I thought the solution would be to use fields, but the fields don't update for me when I update the attributes. Does my solution actually work for others but not me? What solution would you recommend to have multiple text blocks/attributes to update when the dependent is updated?

EDIT: Ok, so it looks like I can only insert images, not files. To better illustrate, here's the file being inserted into another file as a block. The PL-XXXX should be duplicates of the PL-0001 and PL-0002 at the top and bottom of the image. However, they are only duplicating the default value of the attribute and not the new value that has replaced it. Saving, closing, and reopening does not work. Printing the files doesn't have any changes either.
