I have been using CAD, mostly Autocad for more than 40 Years and switched to Draftsight in 2015. I quickly got out as it just stopped working and went back to Autocad. A few years back, i could no longer justify the expense and came back to Draftsight and at first it behaved as i expected but over the past few months it is becoming useless.

When i load previously created attributed components and try and enter data, the text collapses onto the space of one character. Original plot configuration files no longer work and printed lines are either so think or so thin they are useless. This morning I had a drawing with manually entered text and as soon as i tried to copy one line of text, all the previously entered text shrunk to an unreadable size but exiting and opening the window again restored it until i tried to do anything and the result was reminiscent of a very cold morning.

Is it going though another of its random phases? I am not doing anything i have not been doing for years and i am not getting the expected outcomes.

I will try and upload two screen snips before and after touching the text in that drawing.
