.First and foremost good afternoon 

I will explain to you the problem   which I am facing now , I have 2D model , with a hole placed in the middle , ( It presents the well-bore at a certain depth) after applying a certain stresses , the shape of the well bore changes , my question is how can I get the cross section area between the original shape and the deformed shape, the second question is it possible to plot the arc length  with the displacement ? not the displacement between the original and new coordinate of the node , the distance between any node along the arc and the node on the new shape ( which should be at the same direction of the original node , true horizontal distance )the attached file will give you better explanation about the problems .  I hope I can get you help,,, Thanks a lot in advance ..
