LISP - any support?

I am new to DraftSight and find it to be a pretty good program. I found it difficult to find information about AutoLISP customization and gather that the network version allows you to load LISP programs but it is unclear whether individual users are given that ability. I find the lack of LISP customization extremely limiting. Does Dessault plan to allow users to use LISP or not? My interest will completely evaporate if I am limited to using scripts. If you do decide to add LISP I cannot emphasize more  than to break with other the AutoCAD wanna be's and give us a decent LISP that allows multiple arguments to functions. In fact I would suggest using a good free LISP such as NewLISP that provides its own dialog interface and is a better language for CAD. Give us the minimum amount of connection functions and we will build the rest. Please do not just give us the same old toy AutoLISP that Autodesk refuses to improve.

Beyond that I would like to suggest changing the layering system to allow the user to assign entities to multiple layers and allow separate settings for color, linetype and visibility between how things appear on the screen and how they will plot. By separating this process out the user will no longer have to struggle between what is on the screen and what is going to plot. Allowing multiple layers will enable the user to create layers that exist under other layers like creating new folders in Explorer. The higher layers will override the lower ones and eliminate a lot of the need for layer filters.
