I am used to Autocad Release 12. In this one I am able to extrude and perform 3d operations easily however I am not able to do an extrusión in Draftsight. Can Someone Help me please?

I have selected a closed entity (a rectangle) and performed the extrude command as it appear on the command line but my rectangle is still flat.
