I wonder if there is an option to highlight the area being measured, progressively as it is being measured. Let me explain. Say you are measuring the area of a shape, as you click points around the object, the area being measured slowly highlights in green so you can check that the snap points and the total area, is exactly what you want. It also helps you remember where you started from!

I came across this using the free autocad trueview program and it has been massively useful so far so i wondered if it was an option here as well.
