This morning I was requested to (re)activate my DraftSight Free.
After having done so the programme failed to start-up showing an error-message 1721.
On this phenomenon there is already one question with the answer to trace a certain file s.a. swact....exe.
This particular file is absent on my pc. Please what's wrong all of a sudden ?
Greetings

RESTORED !
After several various trials - even removed draftsight c.q. dassault-files from the registry since
uninstall did not work - I carried out a system-restore. Fortunately I then was able to install the most actual DraftSight version.
I skipped the registratiopn request.

In the assumption to have used a wrong mail-account on the activation I re-tried to activate with my Google (@gmail.com) account.
The same disaster occurred, so:
- system recovery;
- cleared Dassault-maps in C:\\Users\\xxxxx\\AppData\\Local and in C:\\Users\\xxxxx\\AppData\\Roaming;
- re-installed DraftSight (194kB) and ignored the activation-request (using the X);
Everything ok and I could carry on with my newest cardboard plane model.
But (!) when I clicked the Google icon in the taskbar nothing happened.
Question:
is there a link between Microsoft (my pc inlog account) and DraftSight ?
