I am having trouble with E-Track since version 2023 SP4. If I draw a rectangle and then want to draw another to the right of the first one, say 5 units away, I used to be able to draw the first rectangle and start the rectangle command for the second one, place my cursor over the bottom right corner of the first rectangle (without clicking) until the cross appears then move the cursor to the right and type 5 and then press enter. The second rectangle would start 5 units in the X direction and 0 units in the Y direction. Now it seems to pick a random value. This has been happening since DraftSight 2023 SP4.
I have tried the following recommended steps that were posted 6 months ago.
a. Login as administrator and uninstall DraftSight (Go to Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features . Right Click on DraftSight and select Uninstall )
b. Navigate to folder DraftSight: C:\\Users\\[username]\\AppData\\Roaming\\DraftSight
Rename folder DraftSight to “DraftSight_backup”(If you cannot find 'appdata' folder as it is hidden sometimes, search %Appdata% on the location panel).
c.Navigate to folder Dassault Systemes in the installation directory (generally in C:\\Program Files)
Delete the folder DraftSight in it.
d. Clean up registry by deleting/renaming registry key folders
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Dassault Systemes > DraftSight
(Run registry editor from Start > Run > type "regedit" (without quotes) and select OK. This will launch registry editor)
Please ensure not to modify any other registry key or folder since it can lead to malfunctioning of other applications
e. Navigate to C:\\ProgramData\\Dassault Systemes and delete the folder DraftSight. (Be aware that the ‘ProgramData’ folder is a hidden folder. You can either choose to show ‘Hidden folders’ from the View menu or you can enter ‘c:\\ProgramData’ directly in the address bar to access this folder.)
f. Download DraftSight from https://www.draftsight.com/support/draftsight-download

I tried the steps above and reinstalled DraftSight version 2024 SP4 and I still had the same problem. I tried it again and this time I installed DraftSight version 2023 SP3, which is the last version that I remember where E-Track was working correctly. E-Track worked in 2023 SP3. I then tried it again and reinstalled DraftSight version 2024 SP4 and the problem came back. I then tried it again and reinstalled DraftSight version 2023 SP3 and E-Track worked again.
I have installed Draftsight on (3) different computers and E-Track does not work properly on any of them starting with DraftSight version 2023 SP4.
Has anyone been able to resolve this yet? I have now raised a service request three times but have not heard back from DraftSight support yet.
