I have been running a previous version of draftsight on windows 7 professional 64bit for a good year or so now (don't know the version number I'm afraid) and it stopped working suddenly one morning - wouldn't open any of my files that I've been opening for ages. I looked on the website and saw there was a new version (V1R5) so have downloaded and installed that. However now when I try and open draftsight I get the banner that you normally see at the opening of draftsight then the following message "Draftsight has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" followed by a message "Draftsight has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Then nothing!
I sent the following to DraftSight support centre and got re-directed here:
The main problem we are having is that when starting the program it gives us not responding
We have installed version 64 as recommended as our system is 64
Installed available updates
Ran disk cleanup and checked for errors
We have run it as administrator
Tried repairing it
Removed it completely then reinstalled it
Tried it on safe mode
Our system is windows 7 pro 64 bit
I'm running it on a stand-alone license
Anyone able to help? I'm stuck!
