DraftSight does not run in Ubuntu 17.10

I'd installed the latest version of DS (i.e. DS 2017 for Ubuntu), but it does not run.

Installation goes ok, but as one fills in the "Activation" for and Clicks "Activate", the software just disappears; no warning nothing. Very Very strange. Never happened like this to any software.

Currently I am on Ubuntu 17.10. The is happening in Ubuntu 16.10 (at my home)
