Hello, could anyone lend me a hand?

I keep trying to use Draftsight with no avail, the program crashes as soon as you click the menu bar (both menu bars); won't open any files either and occasionally it crashes upon opening. I have already checked the procedures mentioned on https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/47464 but none seem to work. I have already reinstalled several times still and cannot use the program at all. 

I'm running on a win 10 laptop with 64GB ram, i7 and Nvidia GTX 970m video card.
