While in the process to edit a block in place (reference editing), draftsight does not allow me to copy entities inside the given block.   I get the following messages:

CLIPBOARDCOPY command not allowed during reference editing.

COPY@ command not allowed during reference editing.

I don't understand why this happens (it does not happen in Autocad), is there any workaround (I happened to find one but it is just annoying) and could it be fixed?

The workaround that we found is to make a copy of the block prior to editing, explode it, copy the required entities, go back to the original block to edit in place and paste the previously copied entities...
