I purchased DraftSight merely to take .DWG drawings created by other people and then (1) print with certain layers turned off and (2) make very, very slight modifications to the drawings. I am not a draftsman or designer. I'll never make my own drawings from scratch.
Q. - How can I click (or right-click, ctrl-click, etc...) on an object and see a dialog or popup which tells me which layer that object belongs to?
Most of the time, the color of the object is a sufficient clue for me to determine which layer the object belongs to, but not always. For example, when I look at this drawing (screenshot below):
I can't identify the black diagonal lines, because nothing in the Layers Manager appears to be black. I need to be able to turn off (hide) those lines. How can I determine what layer they reside on?
